Mchanga Necklace
Mchanga (Nyanja for sand) Necklace
The name, "Mchanga," means "sand" in Nyanja, which reflects the small size of the seed beads used in the design.
The necklace's double strand of colorful beads is inspired by the Maasai, who wear the beads as a symbol of beauty. The fastening is a Sterling Silver toggle clasp with a hand carved blackwood pendant from Zambia.
